One idea is those who don’t want to participate In rounds 11 and 12 can do like Bawse.

We've never done that. In the past 11th and 12th guys in the sim have 0 effect on any outcome because I select scrubs to fill out the 11th and 12th spots that get no minutes.

Picking 12 this year though is a good experiment. It's never been done before to my knowledge so it could be useful in both the sim and in the vote because there's still a lot of value on the board. I say we pick 12 just to try it out, and see if people find it useful to add versatility to their lineups.

I think “adding versatility” muddies the waters because basically nobody uses 12 players when you remove injuries and garbage time. A competent team-builder should be able to get all the versatility they need with their first 8 or 9 players. Nobody should be playing Jason Kapono or Jimmer minutes because they can shoot a basketball in a contest of 16 All-NBA teams. If people are dying to draft specialists, that’s what the 9th/10th picks are for.
