Because prime Magic is every bit as good as a prime Lebron for me. He was still firmly in his prime when he was diagnosed with HIV but even then he still won 5 nba championships and went to 9 nba finals in 12 seasons. He probably had another 4 or 5 elite seasons left in him as well. In the end you can't go wrong with either guy but I prefer Magic.

This is wildly speculative. Do we know that the HIV ever affected him physically? He’s still ticking and looks like he’s 35 even today. Maybe he (and the team around him) just declined.

Team was most certainly in decline. I don’t believe he himself was in decline yet. And quite frankly, I’m not sure that was a championship roster. He got there with out his running mate Kareem. Worthy was still good but imo he’s a #3
