yeah I hunted around a bit too... I think the shooting is just bad and not necessarily some adjustment based thing.

Jaden Hardy was a miserable shooter in the Gleague. It's one of the reasons he really slipped in the draft. His FT% (88%) was a strong signal, however.

It's just a big adjustment for teenagers to step out to the NBA line and get shots off at NBA speed. It's one of the reasons why Gleague isn't actually a great development path for HS prospects.
He shot 31% overall in all games played with the ignite and had a strong shooting half vs Holland/Buzelis being consistently bad

He'll guard 4s and he'll switch a bit on the perimeter. He's not anywhere near the defender that Smith and Hendricks are. I don't think that makes him a tweener per se, just a limited defender.
For me tweener is normally a defensive limitation not an offensive thing. So I think he is very much a tweener.

I'm a Holland guy....but yeah. It's likely that he just cannot shoot. Most guys that shoot like this before the NBA end up being bad shooters. Unfortunately, a lot of the guys in this draft shoot like this.

Buzelis was decent in the mid range when I scrolled around but I don't think he is a good defender... or not on Holland's level.

Givony has always been an interviewer/reporter. That's why he hired Achmdtz and now works with Woo.

DX also post a mock and a board. They post their opinions. Their stuff is just behind a paywall

You're misunderstanding. Both ESPN and Hoop Intellect post a draft board. The info/eval that goes into producing those boards is very different. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but I understand what is producing those rankings. ESPN's mock is more reflective of insider information than it is an individual's eval. That's all I'm saying.

I'm honestly fine with Buzelis/Holland/Castle/Risacher/Williams at #8. They are all fine gambles on wings (at least for this draft) and all have some warts... and its a bit of a guessing game at which ones will fix their bad stuff. I think its chucking darts a bit but those are all fine attempts.

He has a nice shot from the baselines (or at least the shot chart reflects that). Having said that, more of his baskets are assisted than Holland. I think Matas is fine, but Holland has like 10 things I prefer more about him.

Holland can be a real defensive playmaker. Buzelis is more positional, but Buzelis really tries and he used his length to contain guys pretty well. Buzelis is too soft/weak to guard bigs, but his ability to keep up on the perimeter makes him viable.

And I'm saying DX also post a big board that is just their opinion.
