2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Ulrich hasn't played in a competitive environment. That is a huge risk, but he has signs of all the tools. Not one by itself is elite but put them all together he does have chance to be a high end player. You have to use your imagination in this draft and the youngest player developing significantly is not hard to imagine.
What tools does he have that a handful of bigs every draft class dont have? He's not an elite athlete. He doesnt have elite size. He doesnt have any history of competitive play. His only standout trait is his age. I struggle to see anyone taking him top 40. Teams want players who are somewhat close to being NBA ready, not a guy you have to sink a ton of time into teaching how to play basketball.

The “weak draft” label from the media seems to distort people’s thinking too much in my opinion. We may not have clear top 3 in this draft, but it doesn’t mean the draft overall is that much different from other drafts. There are some great prospects there who, as usual, are not yet ready but will make a difference in a few years.

Right now my ideal draft would be Castle or Topic with the first pick and moving up in the draft to take Edey and that probably wont change.
Right now I think my draft strategy for the Jazz would be to pick Castle or the best wing available with our first pick and take two upperclassmen with our late picks.

Tyson/da Silva/Kolek/Dunn I think are my favorite guys that could be available. So I think I'm on board too.

There always seems to be a guy that falls like 10 spots further than he should and winds up in this range. I'd just take that guy. I could see maybe Tyler Smith or Missi sliding IDK.
