I'm still waiting on this kid to show up on a mock draft. He screams prototypical 3 and D and should be firmly in that late 1st to early 2nd range.
If Clingan is available at 6 would you guys trade Kessler+10 for him? I think I would consider it if I'm sitting in Ainge's chair. Clingan+Lauri+Hendricks is the makings of a pretty decent frontcourt. From what I can tell the 3 pt shooting is Clingan's only weakness but having Lauri and/or Hendricks on the floor would mitigate alot of that weakness.
Upgrading the 5 wasn't in my thought process at all coming into this draft but watching Clingan highlights it's just so impressive to see how strongly he finishes (unlike Kessler). Yes Clingan is not switchable and more of a drop type center but so is Rudy. I do believe Clingan and Sheppard are the top 2 talents in this draft so if you can jump up to grab Clingan at 6 that might be something to consider.
Didn't see this one mentioned - did you guys see Risacher's measurements and testс from the Euro combine? His athletic testing was even worse than I imagined it would be
You're probably right, but I would start with that out of the gate...No way they’d do either of those switches. They have the leverage especially with the CJ for George thing.
Athletic testing at that event means nothing. He just got done playing a full season vs the domestic prospects who had months of rest and prep time for events.Didn't see this one mentioned - did you guys see Risacher's measurements and testс from the Euro combine? I agree but what do you do when he’s projected late teens twenties. Would be hard to trade back and then potentially have 4 picks. Very curious how this draft plays out bc there seems to be a lot of similar talent past the first 10-12 playersI still like Kyle Filipowski for the Jazz. I think he should be able to play much of the role that Al Horford plays for Boston--guard on the perimeter, move the ball, be a threat to drive, make some shots, rebound, etc. He's a nice value outside the top 15. His 8'11" standing reach is the same as Horford's entering the draft. Jazz have enough frontcourt size with Lauri and Hendricks that defensively it could hold together.
Im not sure if it was known he would have to have surgery at the time, but it's what ended up happening. When MPJ was drafted by Denver, was he considered a redshirt situation? Anyone remember? He might have been having back surgery.

I love Freeman. Great story and the kind of kid every coach wants on his team. I’d love for the Jazz to take him in that late 1st / early 2nd range.Akron's Enrique Freeman Climbing NBA Draft Charts, Viewed As Possible First-Round Pick
Akron forward Enrique Freeman is making the rounds on the NBA Draft circuit, and apparently, very much on the rise.hoopswire.com
I put Freeman at 27 on the board I made last week. It also has him working out for Utah!
Man, a week ago we could move back for Carter and now we have to move up.
batum was never an elite athlete, though he was a good athlete, risacher is quite a bit worse in terms of athleticism, probably a better shooter.Think young Nic Batum. Probably better at getting downhill though. Not the Jalen Johnson-with-a-jumpshot I was hoping for.
