Not to be reductionist, but pretty much any and every kind of player can play in the playoffs/be exposed. It does often come down to performance, especially with the role players. For example, the defensive specialist guys (McDaniels, Dort, Okoro, DJJ etc) are constantly on a knife’s edge alternating between indispensable and a liability depending on if their shot is falling.
I still think the Jazz should select whoever we think is the best player regardless of archetype. This is especially true given that we are so far away from the playoffs/competing in the first place. Some archetypes are still better/more versatile than others, but I would caution getting ahead of ourselves.
