What's new

2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

ESPN is claiming that they did another update to their mock in the past hour, with a new pick for the Jazz at 10. Someone want to check?
It is updated, still Dillingham with this updated note:

At this juncture, Dillingham's landing spots seem to be firming up in the 5-10 range, with Detroit, San Antonio and Utah viewed as suitors. The Pistons have come up more frequently as a team with real interest in Dillingham, whether that's at No. 5, or if Detroit decides to move back.

If DET want's Rob, trading back makes a ton of sense.

What would you all think if we ended up with Buzelis? Seems like he's never talked about here.

I'm kind of intrigued with the archetype but have big concerns that he'll never quite reach expectations.

Apparently he is the best 1 vs 0 player in the draft, and it shows in his draft rankings. Was horrible in the GLeague, much worse than Holland at an older age, but seems as those everyone is willing to dismiss that because they like what they see in workouts.

If we took him at 10....I wouldn't care. But it would likely require trading up to 5 and I'm not sure that's worth it.

If we took Buzelis it would require me to have a lot of faith in our scouting and development staff. When I watch him, I don't see an NBA player.

Huh. That’s actually really interesting. He had been sliding to the mid teens in most other mocks. And Givony always has the best intel based mocks.

i think he's never talked about because most don't expect him to last to 10

I would love if Dillingham goes top 9.

Buzelis has one move in his entire bag and he turns it over half the time if he gets breathed on in the middle of his move

Hadn’t considered the possibility much. I’d be down, probably excited if he was there.
