2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Someone has to the bite the bullet and be the anti Reed Sheppard guy. It ain’t me.

The dividing line isnt if you like Sheppard, it's would you draft Sheppard in the top 5 when you have Keyonte?
Anyone that doesn't have him #1 on their draft boards its officially declared a hater and an enemy of the State.

Topic, Collier and Castle are likely going to get drafted ahead of these smaller UK guards, but I could see Sheppard going later lottery.

I get Topic/Collier being ahead currently, but Castle has played two games (against nobodies). Dont think he has a solidified claim to anything yet.

Reed has played two fantastic games against top 10 opponets. IDK if you can say that about any other Freshman (other than Dillingham).

Personally I wouldnt take Collier above Sheppard or Dillingham. I'd take Topic though.

I listened to Vecenie today and he was talking about the crazy NIL money Reed is probably making as the son of two UK legends and a white guy who is the best player on Kentucky. Said he would have to go top 20 to make up the NIL money.

Listening now... both guys invoked the name of Steph Curry lol.

Wow I had no idea that the Reed Sheppard was a legacy basketball player at UK. I remember watching his father Jeff play. His mom was pretty good also.

I love basketball players with basketball DNA.

It does beg the question if he was available in the draft his fit with George. That also begs the point is you draft BPA and let the pieces fall. I still have Topic higher. I MAY even have Castle higher.

Love Keyonte and think he’s promising, I don’t think you make draft decisions around him.

Sheppard comes across as a player that is a great fit with just about anyone based on his skillset and playing style.

Depends if your ok with having a slightly undersized 2 guard because I think they both have to much talent to keep one on the bench but then we get into the Conley Mitchell size issue again key would be a great secondary creator though

If you really wanted to turn around teh Jazz's defense and defensive IQ, it would be tight to get Sheppard and Dunn.

I think he has positional fluidity a little as well. Not like either guy would have to be a pg. I consider the roster with draft decisions... like I'd push Donovan Clingan down a few spots... but in general take the best prospect and figure it out.
