How has this projection bared out historically? My projection for 3pt percentage is free throw rate divided by 2 minus 4. Castle would be a 34% 3 pt shooter. That's right on the edge but I am taking him at 8.
He passed on Grady Dick and they were damn near doppelgangersI wonder if Danny Ainge sees himself in Sheppard. And if it can influence his drafting decisions, consciously or not.
Well yes, but I think those are easily identifiable exception/special cases, right? The big separation is between tiers... the separation within tiers should be small enough for you to be able to consider other factors. There are times when fit drives things. Big believer in draft tiers. If you have a good non-shooting center and have two guys in a tier available and one is a non-shooting center... maybe opt for the other guy. Position/fit/future flexibility should be a tie breaker of sorts.
Agree. We draft a player who we think will give us the most down the road, and if there's overlap, we let it play out to see who should be moved. But if we are confident that one of the overlapping players is, or will be, better than the other, we can move the other right away.Unless we take Clingan I doubt any player we take in the draft is going to cause a trade of a current player. Even then you need 48 minutes. See which dude is better and then move the other if you want some variation.
Maybe if they took Dilly they move Sexton and JC... I just think you basically operate as though you have a blank slate for now.
Hes probably the leading scorer from this draft class.I hear negatives on Rob Dillingham, but I think he is one of the 2 or 3 most likely players to be a star in this draft and would love to have him on the Jazz.
No i think it’s really hard to draw lines on the talent tiers. Last year you had Wemby, the. miller and Scoot seemed to be in a tier but some would have had Scoot a tier above Miller… and that is only the first three picks.Well yes, but I think those are easily identifiable exception/special cases, right? I checked it for one year. I need to do more years. I will get back to you.How has this projection bared out historically?
