2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

My projection for 3pt percentage is free throw rate divided by 2 minus 4. Castle would be a 34% 3 pt shooter. That's right on the edge but I am taking him at 8.
 
I wonder if Danny Ainge sees himself in Sheppard. And if it can influence his drafting decisions, consciously or not.

Well yes, but I think those are easily identifiable exception/special cases, right? The big separation is between tiers... the separation within tiers should be small enough for you to be able to consider other factors.

Maybe if they took Dilly they move Sexton and JC... I just think you basically operate as though you have a blank slate for now.

Agree. We draft a player who we think will give us the most down the road, and if there's overlap, we let it play out to see who should be moved. But if we are confident that one of the overlapping players is, or will be, better than the other, we can move the other right away.

I hear negatives on Rob Dillingham, but I think he is one of the 2 or 3 most likely players to be a star in this draft and would love to have him on the Jazz.
 
If you're truly trying to build a contender shouldn't you always draft for positional size unless there is a clear cut talent gap?

No i think it’s really hard to draw lines on the talent tiers. Last year you had Wemby, the. miller and Scoot seemed to be in a tier but some would have had Scoot a tier above Miller… and that is only the first three picks.
