2024 NBA Draft Reaction Thread

Is there a useful place to follow the 2nd round? Or is it just uninteresting? Seeing as it's happening relatively early, it matches up well with watching a combined sunset and lightning show here in the south of Norway.

I'm listening to Sam Vecenie's live stream. I'm assuming ESPN is just going to be a Bronny James coverage fest

Someone help me understand how I am supposed to feel about this. Is it sadness, or anger, or disappointment, or some other weird empathetic thing? If so I will try to help it overwhelm the suffocating ambivalence I actually do feel. I mean the poor 20 year old kid will have to toil away at some measly $500k a year job for 2-3 years maybe before he can bank on breaking that million $ per year barrier. Should I feel, sad for him I guess? Aww, poor guy. So, uh, sad, I guess.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I know that many years ago, the NBA cut back on the number of invitees to the Green Room to help minimize the possibility of Filipowski/Furphy “no draft” incidents. They didn’t want to highlight disappointment, they wanted celebration. Times have changed, we live in an Internet/political age of polarization where spectacles might drive up ratings. Or perhaps the NBA thinks so.
