What's new

2025-26 College football season

If I’m Sitake, I use Penn State to get a raise, but I probably take the Michigan job if it’s presented.
I think that if the michigan job was offered when the penn state job was, then he would have/should have taken it.

I dont think he can take the michigan job now if it is offered. That would just be too bad of a look and just so out of character for Kalani. He is at BYU for quite a while at this point no matter what offer comes his way imo.

I hope so.

Big 12 offensive player of the year (LJ Martin) is out for today's game for BYU. Their backup is also out I believe. So they will be on their 3rd string rb. Their QB (Bear) has an ankle issue which will probably affect his running ability.
Gonna have to lean on the pass game, defense and special teams.

When I thought LJ was playing I was predicting a comfortable win. 10-14 points.

I still think BYU wins but it's gonna be very close I believe

25-21 BYU.
Bear throws for over 300

NCAA needs to screen the sponsors for these bowl games. The pop tarts bowl just sounds so unserious.
It made it fun though. Fun is good. Sprinkles on the helmets and in the end zone. Players talking about which pop tart is their favorite all week.
And then after BYU kneels it for the final play, Sitake got blue Gatorade dumped on him, then ice water dumped on him, and then a Gatorade jug of pop tarts dumped on him lol.

I see your point but it really was fun for everyone involved and the fans. And a great game as well.

I guys you just need to embrace the fact that bowl games are just rewards for playing well in the regular season and have no meaning beyond that.

That was a fun game BTW, I was only half watching, but that was a nice comeback win for BYU.

BYU has now won 5 games against 9-win opponents. No team in the last 10 yrs has been ranked outside the top 5 in the final poll after accomplishing that feat. And that fact probably extends back far further than 10 years, but that’s just the data I could analyze. If anyone wants to go back and check further, then that would be awesome.

My guess is BYU may be the first team in history to do this and not finish in the top 5. And potentially not even the top 10. Injustice.

I thought Whit would try and find some coordinaters that have more national ties for recruiting purposes. Maybe that doesn't matter. Tough losses for both Utah and BYU.

Whit stealing our OC sucks. Finally got someone to turn this offense into a powerhouse, and we only get them for one year. Why couldn’t Whit just retire. Lol
Ya screw whitt. Been talking about retiring for years and now he leaves and tries to burn down both BYU and Utah on his way out. Im sure he isn't done yet either. More players and coaches will be poached from both programs no doubt.
I always hated that jackass and now hate him even more.
Honestly makes me root for scalley and the utes more now. I now hate michigan. (and yes I know im being too emotional about it all.)

Come on man, Whit stepped down gracefully and is now giving these other guys a shot to get real national attention and improve their careers. It sucks as a Utah fan to lose our best OC in forever, but I'm happy for him at the same time.

The question is why Utah pushed the guy out. Their athletic director is the one that should watching for pitchforks and torches outside his house. What a ****ing idiot. Now the whole of Utah collegiate football has a shotgun blast through it.

Morgan Scalley better be the Jesus Christ of coaching cuz this wreaks of unfathomable malfeasance.

I am starting to fault Whit because I don’t think he had to depart the program overnight and I certainly don’t think he had to gut everyone’s programs here either. I’m sure Michigan has good coaches and I’m sure he could have found other avenues for a bunch of the posts.

This all just sucks *** for everyone here. The carcass is at Mark Harlan’s feet.

But he was telling everyone he was going to retire, I kept hearing all year long was that he only didn’t retire last year because of how the season went and he wanted to go out on a high note and now all of a sudden he’s signing a five year deal in Michigan. Scalley probably was tired of waiting and threatened to leave. This is all speculation but Utah probably didn’t want to lose him.
