It was a “dream scenario” last year too..

And the year before that.

So i’ll reserve my judgement for now.

Wasn't it Washington?

The rumor was that his "team" wanted Washington, New Orleans, or Brooklyn. Washington has cleaned up a little, but all three are historically sub-par organizations and have meant very little on the overall NBA landscape.

I'm annoyed we will be missing out on #31 - that 2027 Lakers 1st had better be good!!!

I did like trading the 43rd pick. With the way the board has fallen I think anything after 38 or so is pretty trash.

The only player that intrigues me that late in the draft would be Dink Pate based on mock drafts. If he is there at 53 then he is well worth a look.

He was drafted by the Celtics and overslept his own introductory press conference call and also missed his flight to Boston the same day. Twitter gave him that nickname, and it stuck.

Haha It was. I thought there would be a lot of players moved. We had a ton of trades, just for picks though.

It’s interesting that there’s not more trades for players leading up to the draft. I’m assuming that some of these guys (Sexton, Collins, Clarkson - maybe Lauri) will get evaluated like you would a free agent and are traded for that purpose. If Collins and Sexton were Unrestricted right now AND teams had actual money to spend, I think they’d do well. I expect the Jazz to be pretty busy between now and the start of the season.
