Maybe has been discussed a lot but haven't kept up with the threads, but seems like any Lauri trade is greatly benefited by doing a Milwaukee trade that convinces Giannis to give it one more year, and Sexton/Collins expirings and 2025 seconds for Lillard and top 4 protected 2031 1st seems like it is a short-term play that Milwaukee FO would palette. Probably not enough to get Giannis to buy-in to stay, but he seems like a guy who would prefer to win in Milwaukee if they could sell him on another year. Maybe a three team could work if they don't want Collins as much with Giannis/Portis/Kuzma.
Then that makes Lauri a much more appealing target for San Antonio with #2, Philadelphia with #3, and Houston with their stuff. Doubt Philly can get close for Giannis, and probably shouldn't be selling for the Embiid years anyways, but they still probably wouldn't do anything until the Giannis domino is decided. Spurs are cautious, but year 3/4 Wemby is probably one of their best opportunities to really compete even without any injury concerns that are always there with giant prospects like that. Actually salaries seem hard for Houston so IDK.
