2025 Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

Would the Jazz/Pelicans swap 5 and 7 if they included the Pacers 2026 first rounder?

Pacers might lose Turner in the off-season and could be a Haliburton injury away from a rougher 2025 regular season.

If the Jazz prefer Kon (or Fears)> Tre, I think it makes sense for Utah if they are confident Wizards take someone who isn't Kon

Makes sense for Pelicans if they really value a Malauch/Johnson and are worried Wizards might take them.

I'm fine with just a swap. Really hard to ask for more when Sexton/Collins only have a year left on their deals and aren't the highest valued pieces.
I'm unenthusiastic by nature about swaps for the simple reason that they may turn out to be nothing. More of a bird in the hand kind of guy.

Seems to be a top 8 forming. I could see BKN doing a similar trade to get to #5. If the Jazz are content with any of the top 8 it would be a similar effect (assuming Maluach goes to NOP).

I would do that for sure if the guy we like is available at 7. Like if we decided we wanted Kon/Queen/CMB or someone like that.

Granted both Sexton and Collins are on their last year, but they are valuable active players who would not only help Milwaukee this year, but save their *** in salary next year. The Jazz eat $120 million dollars for a swap? That's a definite no. I'd rather the Jazz send those dudes somewhere else for expiring trash and 2nd's in that case.

I don't need an unprotected pick in a Dame for Collins/Sexton trade. I guess the only thing that would prevent me from doing something like that is if we can get more draft compensation by trading them elsewhere, but all we'd get is seconds anyways.

My dream is that we trade Lauri to get 3, draft Tre, trade back for assets with Washington, get Kon, use Washington assets plus Sexton, plus 21 ( if we still have it) or other assets to get up high enough for Demin. Keep George, keep Collins, roll out and play basketball with what we have.

There is a much greater chance that a swap realizes a high-end outcome than a handful of swaps (that we might be able to acquire with a red paper clip once again).

Fine, to take on Dame and lose Sexton and Collins, make the deal after the 2025 draft, then we can swap their 2031, and take their 2032 1st altogether. Otherwise, a single swap is not worth it to me
