2025 Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

Beat me to it.

So the league handpicked Chet to go the Thunder so the Thunder and their basically nonexistent fanbase could win multiple titles?

The league has currently rigged a Pacers-Thunder Finals? Arguably the two smallest markets in the NBA other than Orlando (who just won the #1 pick) and Denver (who just won the title)?

I would need more to take on PG's contract. If we can swing him to MIL for Dame maybe get a little bit more from PHI I think I'd say yes. We'd be doing PHI a huge favor and opening up a max cap space window for them.

Think it's not unrealistic though. I could see Morey having his sights set on Kon at #5 or being content with the remainder of Ace/VJ/Tre.

No one said they rigged the finals. But have a hand in the lottery to try to stack the right teams at the right time? Yep. Dallas @ #1. Spur then Sixers, all against the steepest odds? Yep.

That's a hard sell to just move up 2 spots to take on PG's contract.

Would have to include some kind of future pick.
The have the Clippers pick. I think Philly will trade back but it will be more like 3 for 5 and 21 or 3 for 6 and 18 type of deal.

Philly is either going to rebuild in like 12-24 months or still be in the thick of playoffs depending on Embiid's health. I think they need clarity before they try and pay what they need to to get off of PG's deal.

I don't think they can really go backwards. If they rebuild, it will be more like reshuffling the chairs around Maxey. Their pick is only top 4 protected for the next two seasons. Just not worth it to tank when you lose your pick >50% of the time.

I could see them going the Lauri route or the Sexton+Collins route. Both are valid with or without good Embiid health IMO.

Ok a little late to the party so dont want to sift through 15 pages of stuff so here are some of my trade ideas

First is 2 options for Collins sexton both to Orlando (Feel they are the best fit)

1st Sexton for Anthony and Howard

Not a huge fan of a 2 for 1 trade, but the Jazz do not have another salary that would make it feasible.

2nd is Sexton and Clarkson for Isaac and Anthony

Why in the world would the NBA rig the lottery for Dallas and San Antonio over Washington and Chicago.
This has been rehashed ad nauseum in other threads. No need to complete hijack this one.

This. I say no to that proposed trade
