I also challenged him a bit because he said his contract doesn’t affect his trade value compared to last offseason. I disagree completely.Tony Jones is saying that the Jazz won't try and trade Lauri, teams will have to come to us.

I agree with Tony. Anyone who wanted Lauri had to be prepared to offer him a max contract.I also challenged him a bit because he said his contract doesn’t affect his trade value compared to last offseason. I disagree completely.
Yeah but his contract last season was infinitely easier to trade for than now.I agree with Tony. Anyone who wanted Lauri had to be prepared to offer him a max contract.
So if you believe last season was a fluke due to tanking, then he should have equal value to a team that really wants him.
I still think it's pretty easy for a lot of teams. Spurs have 0 issue producing the salary necessary.Yeah but his contract last season was infinitely easier to trade for than now.
plus a team now knows that they have him sown up for 4 years. last year if we had traded him, he could have walked with them getting nothing if he wanted toI still think it's pretty easy for a lot of teams. Spurs have 0 issue producing the salary necessary.
No team would have traded a ton of assets for him without an extension agreed upon.plus a team now knows that they have him sown up for 4 years. last year if we had traded him, he could have walked with them getting nothing if he wanted to
exactly my point, so Lauri's value is equal or better this yearNo team would have traded a ton of assets for him without an extension agreed upon.

Don’t you get tired of saying the same **** over and over again? If you traded for Lauri last year, you got one huge discount year during his prime, which is very attractive.
If Ainge had traded Lauri at the 2024 deadline, teams could have gotten two huge discount years, which would have been amazing.
If you trade for Lauri now, you get zero discount years.
He was worth 4 firsts from the Kings plus an expiring last offseason. Definitely more at the 2024 trade deadline.
His value is a mid first round pick right now, he will not be traded.
how do you not understand that you would now have him sown up for 4 years for the assets you'd have to give? How do you not understand that now you don't get the one huge discount year where you'd hope Lauri would produce like $26m in excess value.
