so if we roll into next year with

Keyonte
Peyton Watson
Ace
Lauri
Kessler
—————————-
5th - 8th pick
Nurk
Brice
MLE type
Cody
WCJ
Isaiah
Filipowski
Taylor

How we looking? Feel like we surprise. Make playoffs pretty handily.

We all had a light chuckle at @NUMBERICA for suggesting a max for Watson... dude might be approaching that territory. Two way wing with some creation does not get underpaid. But yeah - Key, Ace, Watson, Lauri, Kessler would be really nice imo.

Like Peyton is kinda what you are hoping Ace to be. 23/6/3 with close to 3 stocks per game on phenomenal shooting splits in January.

I don't watch enough of Watson to have a good opinion, but would be a bit hesitant to max anyone at this point given the fact Key will likely need a max deal. Plus whatever Kessler will require if we match on him/outright sign him.

Think it might be smarter to sign two dudes with the same money, but IDK.

Yeah IDK. I don't worry too much about budget as I do about whether the guys is going to have value. If you got Watson at 40 per and he was worth it... you could move him later for value. Its a big bet, but only if you think this month is a flash in the pan.

I also think MPJ popping off removes some of the "relies on Jokic" stuff. Like obviously playing with Jokic helps the majority of players, but Watson would not be the first player who thrived in a role that wasn't available with Jokic.

If we were to break the bank I'm still leaning towards Eason, but SS keeps growing on Watson.

I also have no idea what maxes are anymore. My grip on the cap is even worse than what it has been in the past due to how high the new numbers are.

Like around 50M a year. I think he wanted 5/125M and Denver passed... that will prove to be a fatal mistake. Say we offer 4/160M if he continues his non-Jokic trajectory. I think I'd do it. We can figure out budget later if we win the bid. If not and Denver matches... then you pry other parts from them maybe.

Peyton has been the perfect backcourt mate for Murray now that Jokic is out. So we might have a sample of how it would work here.
