A Big Move on the Horizon?

We will need a Hoodsplosion to make the playoffs.
You said we want to become what the pups were. A team that misses the playoffs year after year after year. Who wants that? I know I don't.

You mentioned treadmill team in relation to the t-wolves. They weren't a treadmill team. They just always sucked.

No jazz fans are hoping to have season like the wolves have had for the last bunch of years.

I think the idea is that it would boost BK's win total and hurt the Celtics' pick.
Exactly what I meant.

As for the big move, I think it's dead right now. The new GM for NY has taken Melo off the market, wanting him to either stay or expand the list of trade options. Sounds like neither Houston nor Cleveland could come up with good packages. Other teams are getting wise; they're no longer willing to take huge salary dumps for minimal assets in return.

Most analyst think the Jazz are a playoff team and some think they win more games than last year.
I'm all-in. I think Utah DOES win more than last year. Probably won't happen in a stacked conference, though.

Outside of Phoenix and Dallas, it seems like every WC team has a plan and is moving in the right direction.

The conference is stacked and right now there are so many variables almost any prognostication is just pure guess-work. Several teams have new guys to integrate, there are rumors of more to come, maybe at the trade deadline, and the Jazz took at least a half-step backward, if not a full step, unless they can really integrate the new guys effectively and someone really steps up. There is also the injury bug to worry about. So many un-knowns. I would only be mildly surprised to see us win 50+, I also would not be surprised to see us win 30. Personally I think we will be chasing the 7th or 8th seed this year, maybe the 6th. But if we really get some guys to come back strong (like 4 of them) or start strong (the rookies, new players), we could be top 4 again.

What if the Stars align?
