A Guy Just Said to me that Star Wars...

The funny thing is I'm not even a fanboy of Star Wars. I like the movies, I would give the original trilogy about a 8.5/10 if I had to rate it. You just show such a pretentiousness with your criticism of the series that seems to suggest you have very little knowledge of cinema despite wanting so badly have a different and radical opinion.

Nah. I'm just really smart, while you're pretty dumb. No need to get worked up over it. You can still like your dumb movies all the same.

Not really worked about it, more just laughing. While I don't think the majority opinion is always the correct one, there is a pretty wide agreement between both majority casual and dedicated film fans, as well as critics and those in the industry, that the original Star Wars trilogy is a timeless piece of film and one of the most important films in the history of movies.

I just don't get the reason people bash Star Wars movies for being too fantasy-related, a fairy tale if you will. I don't give a flying puck about this to be honest. I mean, why would I need to search for scientifically trustworthiness in a fictional movie while I could just enjoy its tale and atmosphere? If you ask me, Star Trek always stayed in the shadow of Star Wars popularity-wise and its fanbase gave birth to this "Star Wars ain't nothing scientific compared to Star Trek" notion.

Where Star Wars really excels IMO is creating a vast world that is rich in history and back-story.

I've never really been into Star Trek, but I think the appeal is that it's fake science is more sciencey sounding, right?

Totally agree on the common attitude of ST fans about the science matter. I think we live in a time people consider logic, science and realism so much more important than anything else that they cannot even stand fictional productions that do not qualify for the decent level of scientifically correctness. It's a choice. I like fantasy. My choice is that. It helps me ease off the heaviness of life maybe.

No, you're right it's a masterpiece. The cast is nearly entirely male, and they dress the only woman like this:

The climax of one of the movies involve teddy bears taking down the Empire with sticks.

Only $99 for the whole set. Don't miss out on a once in a life-time deal! But don't forget the accessories!

A timeless cinematic achievement in pew pew pew pew. Every adult should take such timelessness seriously! Pew pew pew.

That's only the tip of the steaming ****-berg of course. The ridiculousness of those movies know no-bounds. But it's okay. Chewbacca says raaaaaawr. Timelessly. $29.99. Batteries included.

Ooooh snap. Okay, I'll stop. Wouldn't want you to deactivate your account for a couple of days.

Just saying, your pretentiousness and lack of range with movies is now seeping over into a disdain for capitalism.

How dare people buy toys of things they enjoy!
