My my...…. such a serious charge.
What should society do to punish triggery people?
no, I did not say I am not one with fav topics I'm willing to pop off on. I'm just not willing to give up the positive things that come with caring about something, and I care to point out the mistake of making it a negative. Particularly in a place that ostensibly welcomes discussions.
Imo the progressive.... mainly left but also the so-called moderates..... ideology is going off the rails to make it out as an intolerable offense to differ ideologically.
your snap judgment about me lying to myself is really uncalled-for, so what. You are essentially arguing that everyone is "lying to themselves" in some aspect of their self-image. You could make that a positive just as conveniently, and call it "having good self-esteem" or somesuch.
But go look back on what I said, and realize you jumped the gun. I did not say I or anyone else is not "triggered" by one thing or another.
The word is used in a pejorative way nowadays, what with guns being "bad" and whatnot. It can be bad to go off with a lot of hostility, sure. But what concerns me more is the culture of intolerance from the "progressive" quarter, who are everything except the classical sort of "liberal" who is willing to be tolerant of others.
