Aaron Gordon....Are you serious? Disaster.....Disaster.....

David Locke did a podcast with the Warrior's broadcasters about the draft. David Locke really likes Gordon and said that part of him thinks that Gordon should be the #1 pick. Said his downside was Shawn Marion.

I just listened to that.

He said if it was up to him, he might take Gordon over Exum. But he thinks the Jazz will go with Dante.

I'll be really happy with either.

Vonleh: #humble
I see no problem with avoiding the "star" question and admitting you're young. Good to be coachable. I'm ok with Vonleh or Gordon.

That's a great point if he actually was a star. But seriously I wasn't looking for him to be cocky, I was looking for confidence. I didn't see it in that interview.
I saw someone young, timid, and polite. He seems like a decent guy.

What I saw with Aaron's interview, and in others he's done, is someone confident, and sure.

It seemed like Aaron is sure he will make it in this league, and Vonleh wasn't.

Just my two cents.

Marion was a career 49%/33% shooter. If Gordon becomes a GOOD shooter, he's a Shawn Marion.

At this point, I really don't care whether the pick is Gordon or Vonleh. IMO, Noah will be special. But Jazz can swing for the fences, hope Gordon becomes an all-star and Kanter becomes an all-star. Otherwise, Jazz are still left with a gaping wound at SF unless Hayward plays that position.

This.

If you're gonna take a punt on Vonleh, I'd rather take a punt that Kanter can be that stretch 4, and take Gordon.

You get 2 for the price of 1.

Vonleh's character is just soOOoooOoooo similar to Chris Bosh.

Whether or not that's a good or a bad thing I'll let you guys decide.

Guess I better go watch that Gordon scouting report one more time. I've never warmed to the idea of drafting him.

Me neither, until I had heard that he has seems to have be able to improve his shooting.

To me it's what's stopping him from being an average Tony Allen type player to becoming an All Star. So if we think he can truly improve upon it then it's a no-brainer to draft him at #5.

Watched it again. Still not impressed. Reminds me a bit of Greg Ostertag. But, solely for his touch. I remember thinking Ostertag looked like he was trying to bend the rim some times when he'd launch a shot up. I get that same feeling watching Gordon. Like he's just hurling the ball in the general direction of the rim and hoping for the best.

I definitely don't see what David Locke is seeing. #1 overall? Humm. I think #10 as he's currently mocked is more accurate.

He had reportedly changed his shot....

I posted this before, but here is the breakdown of MKG, Gordon, and McBuckets:
Here is MKG's broken shot:

Any "analyst" bringing up MKG in relation to Gordon should be mocked to derision because they are simply spitballing.

almost as ugly as marions

but yeah, mkg's jump shot is messed up

Stockton would shoot 3's from his ear as well, just like Bird. When we played streetball as kids we would call a "Bird" or "Stockton" three from the shoulder for extra flair.
