Addressing our deficit at power forward

What is Donovan’s? Justwonderingok??

Check it out yourself why don't you? And again like I said, Donovan is a victim of the deceiving nature of the +/- stats and he actually shot better and score better while Rudy is off the floor. He scores 36pts on every 100 poss when Rudy is off the court versus 32pts when Rudy is on. If we can give DM the Giannis treatment by surrounding him with 4 shooters and let him go to work, it should help us in getting his game to the next level.

That too. Funny how people keep blaming Ed for everything because he couldn't do what Gobert has done for us. Gobert is a privilege/luxury, and should not be taken for granted. Ed would've been fine had him not been put on a team that expect their center to stop everything.

I disagree. Ed has hurt us far more offensively than he has defensively. We just haven't been able to score with him on the floor and trying to run pick and roll with him has been a nightmare due to his inability to catch the ball and his inability to finish on those rare occasions that he actually does catch it. Ed has been bad on both ends of the floor.

I agree that Ed was a poor signing because he really doesn't fit into what we were looking for. We brought him in hoping he could keep up defensively/rebounding with Rudy, but he(to no one's surprise) could not. Neither could Favs but he was a much better offensive player, which allowed us to play a different style of basketball.

Ed was more of Udoh's replacement and we all know how much of a difference Udoh had made. What Rudy had done for us was irreplicable. We need to switch playstyle whenever he gets subbed off instead of trying to keep up the same style with inferior players.

https://stats.nba.com/vs/advanced/#!?PlayerID=1626220&VsPlayerIDOh, found it. I was right. Royce stats, both traditional and advance with Rudy off the floor, were not just worse, they were actually horrendous.

You are welcome

who was the center in the floor... was it Ed Davis Jeff green or Tony Bradley... because that is our biggest hole and the reason those lineups would suck.

Put Marcus Morris in for Royce or Paul Millsap or whatever 4 you think is average and I don’t think we are better.

And just think, if we could keep our top six + Clarkson and add Aminu and Bogut/Noah, we would then have a second unit that can play both ends of the floor. No more massive suck. That would all be predicated on if you could get Aminu. The other two are easy grabs.

Put Marcus Morris on the floor with Royce at the 3 and we’re better.

Depends on who you are taking off the floor. Take joe off the floor for Marcus and it’s a nah... if it’s any bench player then for sure.

I guess my thing is that we don’t have a huge hole at the 4... it’s pretty obvious where our hole is to me and it’s backup center. Ed is a terrible combo of low volume, poor percentage shooter who the defense is completely ignoring. He adds in a high turnover rate and is fouling too much. Unless JC and Mudiay just keep the ball and shoot lights out the second unit doesn’t have a prayer of keeping up. Adding a 5 that can downshift your the four sometimes would be Frickin great... those guys are tough to find and likely out of our price range...

Like Jamychal Green would be great... likely too small to play center most nights but not like Ed is a physical monster. I don’t think Ed is playing as hard as he can and I think he’s about the worst fit offensively that you can find. I’d rather experiment with Bradley, Brantley, Morgan as backup 5... they almost literally can’t be worse than what Ed has given us.

Morris takes Niang off the floor completely. And he takes Ingles off the floor from minutes 30-36. And takes any of Bojan’s minutes over 34.
