Wasn't Dwill always a matchup nightmare for the Lakers? We just gave them a match-up wet dream with Gasol vs Boozer and Odom vs. AK.

I do not remember AK having any problems with Odom, it was Boozer, Millsap and Okur struggling vs Odom, Gasol and Bynum.

The League makes more money with Paul in LA.

Also, it's in the best interest of the League for the Hornets to actually get something in return for Paul. If they don't do this, Paul is just walking to NYC. Lakers are the only team with the confidence they can retain Paul.

All they've got is the MLE. Nene will get at least double that. So would Gasol (Memphis would match a paltry 5M for him). Not much else out there.
