Sounds like a compliment to me. Don't know why you think that would require an apology to me.
But he is way too one dimensional and once teams game plan for him to stop his drive he will be worthless anyways so don't worry about him making any MIP lists

I don't think burks is an all star

I think he has some skills that could make him an all star some day though

He IS one dimensional as an alpha dog. Why are you being so defensive and making it into more than it is when you already agreed with me on that in this thread? The thread was about Alec = alpha dog. Context matters, fish.

That play Burks drove baseline and was forced out of bounds, he was actually fall out of bounds and found Marvin under the rim. It was a good pass for sure. We all know Alec is capable of making good passes. The thing I'm talking about is when Burks is going to the rim and instead forces up a difficult attempt. The play you cited Burks didn't have a look at the rim, so he was forced to pass.

Can he make the pass when both options are available and choose the best option?

Those circus shots doe... I want him taking a higher % of those than most players.

What do you make of his improved spot-up shooting? Could be used as a spot-up shooter and late clock safety valve (next to a good wing defender...that is, not Gordo), no?

His passing is much improved this season. He's taken a nice first step in slowing down the game outside the arc, as the ball handler in pnr situations where he can step back and keep his dribble alive while looking for the slip screen pass, etc. Next step is learning to do similar stop-and-go things while driving in the paint.

I don't pay much attention to the games lately, but everything I've seen him take mid-range to deep has been damn impressive last ten games or so. Not only spot-ups but pulling up off the dribble, especially on the left side.

I think he has the green light on driving now which has done a ton in the confidence and space creating departments for his pull up J.
 
Situation is pretty simple:
He can continue his surge of power and find consistency from now on? -> Flame BTP and whoever else is criticizing his play right now.
He falls back to normal level and is a fringe starter for life? -> BTP and folks make fun of you whenever you mention his name.

Opinions and projections differ and I'm okay with that.
