I think there is no way your team can keep up with addi's offensive power. Stockton is a wonderful PG, but he can't keep up with Westbrook, and I think Harden is a little better than Paul Pierce. Barkley is tiny, if tenacious. He had an advantage over bigs of that era due to his solid mid-range shooting, but AD can keep up with him NP. And then you have Shaq...

You have a good team. They are great defensively, and they fit better than the Westbrook/Harden combo(unless one assumes a smaller role like in OKC). But no way in hell can they contain the offensive output of addi's front and backcourt. It's crazy versatile, with the ability to dominate from any spot.

You do realize you just cherry picked his best year right? So based on that you are taking Barkely at 31 years old. Good to know, then Davis is much better than a 31 year old Barkley. Barkely is a career 26% shooter from three.

Barkley did shoot some threes and a few long 2s but the vast majority of his points were in the paint. Davis has a much lower percentage of points in the paint.

This year Davis shot 28% inside 3 feet, 23% 3-10 feet, 17% 10-16 feet, 22.8% 16 to 3 point line and 8% from three. He shot 70% inside 3 feet (where over 50% of Barkley points came from), 45% 3-10, 46.7 10-16 feet and 41.4% from beyond. Those are much better shooting numbers than Barkley.

So again facts point to Davis already being a much better shooter and has a much better ability to space the floor from all around.

Davis is a better all around scorer, a better shooter and a better defender. Davis can also handle the ball and dribble better. Barkley might be a slightly better rebounder and he is a better passer.

WTF are you even saying? We're comparing Barkley's MVP season to Davis season this past year. I'm not mixing stats and that wasn't his best year from three. How did I cherry-pick his best year from three when it wasn't his best year from three? Lol dude.. stop while you're behind.

I don't have numbers to share sorry, but AD indeed is a lot better shooter than Barkley. He also has a different type of athleticism which he can use on individual possessions, while Barkley was entirely a different character and a great hustler. Hr had the mad strength too. But if he matches ip with AD, he is gonna get blocked and scored on a lot. Maybe the real Barkley would find a way, but he would also scare away Pippen who would run to MJ but get rejected and then go around telling people Lebron is better than MJ.

Fair point he did have one better year. So You are taking him at 29. The rest of my points still stand.

Lets compare those years then.
Davis scored more points(per 100 possessions 6 more points per game), shot better from the free throw line and got to the free throw line more, Turned the ball over much less, blocked way more shots. Most of all Davis was a far superior athlete and defender all around. He has the ball handling skills to bring the ball up and drive.

Barkely did shoot a better TS% of 1.6% better, he did rebound at a higher rate of 0.9% better.

Its not a head and shoulders gap but I think Davis is better. I also think Davis would bother Barkley a lot matched up and negate a lot of what made him good.

Davis standing much taller and much more athletic would be a nightmare matchup for Barkley.
