Ed Davis for the vet minimum if you are lacking rebounding and positional depth (outside the standard rotation) is a good signing.

1. Depth: I don’t think anyone would advocate reserving a spot in the rotation for him.
2. Rudy Gay isn’t going to play for a while. I’d actually hope it’s months before he’s on the floor because the Jazz have decent depth right now and Gay should be in tip-top shape.

He’s at least played basketball in the past two years so I would have to agree.

I would be willing to part with Oni to sign him. You could do a lot worse than him for a 12th man on the roster. He definitely wouldn't be in the rotation but his defense could come in handy situationally.
