annual Bolerhack Sucks thread

He does not know basketball... I only caught about half the Jazz feed last night because Direct TV is constantly screwed up... the only downside to other announcers is the homerific "that should/shouldn't have been a foul" ****. They were sure that DM did not get fouled on the last play... he was grabbed and tripped with a knee to the chest... so annoying.

For that reason I prefer the Jazz broadcast and have just gotten over Boler. Steve Brown was unbearable. I'm not sure David Locke could do the TV stuff but he does know more about basketball... he might be tough to listen to. Matt was solid I thought. Knew basketball and was not a homer. He was a little annoying. Thurl is good... like the type of guy you want to watch a game with, but prolly a little too chill for TV.

Why can't we just resurrect Hot Rod and have Satan be his color guy. Normally you don't want back in my day stories from broadcasters, but I've got a feeling everyone would be in on those guys stories.

I was going to start this thread in preseason after he said "Donovan pushes up a floater for three" but figured I shouldn't encroach on your territory.

Has anyone ever seen a floater three? Ever?
 
He's likable. What baffles me is that no one ever chooses to teach him basic basketball rules and terminology. All Matty needs to do is whisper in his ear the difference between a skip pass and a bounce pass (my pet peeve). He complains about calls that are clearly correct. But he's nice and articulate so I guess you can't have it all.

Yeah, I remember that cause as a non English native speaker I started to wonder if I really heard that well :)

He definitely isn't as bad as some have thought over the years. Some people on this board need to go watch some other teams around the league.. I suggest Rockets, Celtics, Nuggets, Clippers..
