If I saw you get into an argument with a mexican over a legitimate issue and you were being called a racist for arguing with the Mexican I would be level headed and support you, and not call you a racist. Lessee..... "Liberal" used to mean people who actually were of a mind to respect others who are different and uphold their basic human rights. I guess a lot of types claim the "liberal" mantle now, if they think it's good PR or is self-descriptive as they understand it, for whatever reason.

Tell you what. I'll ask them to explain why they do or do not want to be called "liberal".

Today the term is used most frequently as a sort of slur that is not yet enrolled on the hate-speech dictionary of lawyers willing to chase people who are hurting from being called such a thing.

Among the unwillingly progressive humans, whose steps forward require some shaming, some prodding, and some extreme "educational regime" that real progressives don't want to call "propaganda", being a "liberal" means, roughly or metaphorically, being "bad", somehow. And I'm pretty sure there is no standard equation for what that "bad" is.

But hey, if anyone feels it necessary to defend themselves as "noble" under the term "liberal", I'm all ears.

But in my usage above, the term is meant for the penitent, for the disillusioned "woke folk" who are wondering if there is not a better way forward.

A pretty broad general class. So far as I can imagine, the only person who wears "tinfoil" is Madonna. Dunno, there might b e other "stars" who do, but I really don't pay attention.

I know you love over-used slurs, but really. The people who you imagine or characterize as wearing tinfoil are the ones with grease up to their elbows, a car set up on bricks with an engine half-dissembled, a beer in one hand, a cig in the other.... a baseball cap, a T and maybe some Levis.

But I'll take your insight under advisement. I think you mean Gameface. Fair enough. But he's the only conservative I know who'll discuss The Prince a respectable work.

They are not Holsteins at all. Mostly Angus, a fewCharlais and even less Hereford. Beef.

And in regard to the dictionary, are you defining "liberals"?
