But if all that was offered on the open market for Enes Kanter was crap, then that was his worth, crap. Again, holding onto him so that maybe, just maybe, you could eek out a little more value is not wise. And you are also ignoring the value of him being gone, now. Holding him longer to get a little better crap hurts the team, and not worth the extra crap. His value could have actually gone down, if he continued to play bad D and fail to pass the ball. In addition, he has been injury prone and you never know when that could crop up again. Move forward, cut your losses.
How does holding him hurt the team. Just give the Jazz longer to evaluate Kanter. Maybe they could've done a sign and trade. Apparently, he did have value, as we see now that there were multiple teams interested in him.
