Best shows on TV?

I really recommend the Severance. It's been a long time since a show got me so hooked up. Can't wait for the second season although I would prefer it to just have a couple extra episodes in the first season to close the story. I hope they will keep the level. I hate this tendency of milking the money cow by making more and more seasons of the shows.

My buddy loved this. I watched half of it. It was fine. But it felt too much like Maniac (Jonah Hill, Emma Stone), Lost (to a lesser degree) and other similarly thematic productions.

I haven't seen Maniac, will give it a try. I agree that Severance is not something super original, it made me think about the Homecoming or some episodes of Black Mirror. But it's well made and I enjoyed it a lot, the music of the intro, acting (John Turturro and Christopher Walken are amongst my favourite actors).

Yes, it’s quite similar to Homecoming as well. I enjoyed that more. The direction on that is ****ing good as ****. Some really great camera **** they seemingly randomly work in every once in a while. 70’s tv show camera ****.

Homecoming was a really good podcast before it was a show. Lots of good actors in the podcast. There was only the one season as a podcast asfaik but it's damn good.

I agree that Severance feels a lot like other shows, especially Lost, where you get wound up in the mystery and the oddities of the world they've created, and so I'm worried (once bitten twice shy) that Severance is going to pull the same **** and drag the plot and the mystery along until it all turns into garbage. I hope they don't do that, but why wouldn't they? There's a good story on one side and a boat load of money on the other side and we all want them to pick good story. I'm not going to get my hopes up.

The Outlaws on prime is good. 2 seasons. British show with Christopher Walken. We've enjoyed it.

Does Walken do a British accent? Because that could be entertaining.
No, he plays the guy he always plays, himself. But he's brilliant and the end of season 2 his story arc had my wife and me in tears.

He is a remarkably good comedic actor. Excellent timing and his delivery is great. This is a great role for him.

I loved Severance. That the kind of show im always looking for despite the fact that they always disappoint in the end. Lost, Wayward Pines (fantastic book trilogy btw), twin peaks, and the one that I think is the best tv show of this style of all time The Leftovers.

I think I may watch the 12 Monkeys tv series (based off the movie). Anyone watched that?
