Black or Wallace?

Which point guard would rather have with the 9th pick?

I think Jrue is a fine, high outcome for Wallace. He is of the same mold. I would say his median is probably more like Deanthony Melton though.

I like blacks offensive ceiling, however Wallace may be a more valuable asset to our team with that defensive prowess. If he’s a capable driver and decent shooter

Just gonna put it out there, Wallace is more boring to watch and I am definitely more "intrigued" by Black. Not a great drafting strategy, but I would be excited to watch Black play every game and see if he can figure it out.

If the Jazz take a point guard at 9, would you rather they take Anthony Black or Cason Wallace? I like both but I'm leaning towards Wallace at the moment.
They shouldn't value a pg in this draft at 9 over a harder to get prospect imo. Neither of these 2 are better overall prospects than some of the forwards that will be available either.
Now if one of them comes into workouts draining buckets like neither showed able to in college, sure F it do it. If not no way in hell.
Take a playmaker at 16 if you feel you need one, or take a shooter, but do not take a meh upside low floor guard at 9 . Especially one that is a minor upgrade to current options.
So many stuck on need for a point guard its shameful. There are plenty available in free agency if they want to take a flier on a raw point guard type t 16 to develop over time.

Does the fact that their lengths are basically the same change anyone's vote?

Black only has 1.5'' on Cason with vertical reach, and Cason is an inch longer in wingspan. Their "functional" length is basically equal. Head height is a great luxury for PG's to see over the defense, but so is being low to the ground while still having the length/reach of someone taller.

AB's big hair is a considerable obstacle to seeing clear passing lanes. That might put him over the top.

Tony Jones also loves JHS and that’s the most polite way I can exemplify that maybe TJ’s takes aren’t the best. Great mouthpiece for the org, though.
I don't love JHS either, but he can play. His combine measurements were better than Black or Wallace and his shot looks better as well.

JHS good measurements, doesn’t really do things that good measurements are supposed to do. Awful finishing around the basket and no defensive playmaking.

If there’s a third PG that might belong in this conversation it’s Bufkin.

Bufkin might be the most well-rounded high-quality guard in the whole draft.
