What's new

Brandon Knight had the best workout with the Jazz

Not right now obviously.. but fundamentally:

1. 3pt shot? Yes
2. Dribble & drive game? Yes
3. Inside game? Yes
4. Free throw shooting? Yes
5. 7 Footer? Near enough
6. Toughness? Yes
7. Clutchness? May be (it only took Dirk 13 years)

Against who - U18 competition in Europe?

No not really - but there's a reason why Dirk was picked 9th in that draft.

You look at the players' fundamentals and estimate whether they translate to the next level.

And Yes - you take a chance, and it is risky, but that's what you do.
Dirk was drafted because he was a lights-out shooter who could also put the ball on the floor. Kanter's more of a post player who can hit the outside shot. Major difference.

FWIW, I agree that comparing Kanter to Dirk is simply a bad comparison. Kanter will be a real bruiser vs. being a finesse player. He can shoot really well .. but understands it makes the TEAM better for him to be near the rim grabbing every rebound and backing his guy down for a 2 footer or dunk.

Is it just me or did KOC just say more about knight in that article then he has ever said about any prospect before maybe even combined. Hummmmm what does it mean? Smokescreen ....... Fire ....... Oh this is tearing me apart. I love this time of year.
