My point was that 1st round pick that they didn't give up hasn't really added much to the team. Mirotic might have. Probably would have added more to the team than that first round pick has.

Yes, Rubio did not play well first game back from injury against a starting lineup that had a 6'8 guy as their shortest player.

I actually don't think Rubio played well. He didn't play horrible though at least. 2-8 for 6 points. Had some steals and hit back to back threes.

Mitchell is a super star.

Super Star isn't about basketball ability or play level. Its the combination of being a NBA star and being a marketing star. Mitchell has his own shoe with a big 2 brand (Adidas/Nike) so he qualifies.

There is no way that we could have just absorbed Mirotic's salary. Every Mirotic backer on this board was quite clear that they wanted Mirotic in and Favors gone. Every single one of you. Saying something different now is just revisionism.

No. I thought we would have traded for him last year, see how he fits and will be and the play and then make a decision after we have that knowledge. I never thought we should trade for him and then re-sign him no matter what. If it turned out he didn't fit and didn't make us better then let him go. All you lose is a late first which I figured wouldn't help us much. I think I was right. I think Niko would have done more than Grayson. But I didn't think we should certainly re-sign him. Only do that if he is what we wanted him to be.
