It absolutely does matter. If Wyoming's defense didn't force him into throwing them, or didn't cause them, then it doesn't matter if BYU's defense is as good or better.

I guess if your point is, "Utah will be up by 30 points, so Wynn will likely get careless when he tries to hot dog some flashy passes," then the Wyoming game would be a good comparison.

If you are saying BYU will "force" some turnovers, the Wyoming game is not the game to look at. They didn't "force" any turnovers. Utah was blowing them out and Wynn started attempting throws he normally wouldn't.

Wynn does have his share of "forced" turnovers this year, I'm not denying that. I'm just saying Wyoming wasn't the team forcing them.

And again, BYU is certainly no TCU so I don't think turnovers will be a problem for Utah.

BYU's defense couldn't stop Utah State to save their lives. I don't care if Hill is gone and the great and magical Bronco is now running the defense. The talent on that side of the ball is terrible. So to act like BYU's D is head and shoulders above Wyoming is pretty silly.

IMO, BYU had a bit more talent on D last year, and during a game in Provo against Wynn as a true freshman, they didn't "force" him into a ton of mistakes. Serious Question: if that was the case last year, why does Cougar fan think BYU can go to SLC with a younger/less talented Defense and force a now more experienced Wynn into multiple turnovers?

I told everyone San Diego State was better than Utah, after they lost to BYU(and they definitely outplayed you guys). I told everyone BYU would get rolling once A) The Defense started to blitz B) The offense started to open the playbook C) The backup talent starts playing more.

All of those things happened, and BYU got rolling. BYU should have hired me as a consultant. You dumbies thought you were going to be able to bask in a 3 win BYU season or something.

Again, spot on. BYU started to do these things and was (against all odds) able to topple the Four Horsemen of the College Football Powerhouse Apocalyse: UNLV, Wyoming, CSU, and New Mexico (3 of the 4 in Provo.) A shake up of biblical proportion.

Looking forward to some silence from the Ute fans...or to eat some crow but I think BYU has more momentum going into a hostile environment, even if their past wins were against some cup cakes, they were convincing wins and Utah barely squeaked one out last week and lost the two games that really mattered. Oh and that hit on the SDSU QB at the end of the game was a blow to the head, had the refs seen it, you would be on a 3 game losing streak. Oh well, it's in the past I guess.

I could tear apart tear apart this entire post, but Bronco already did a great job of handling it. Instead, I think I'll focus on the most dellusional part of it:

Really? I'm seriously asking if this is how you actually feel, or if you're just running smack because it simply has no logic behind it at all. After Utah wins today, they end the 12 year MWC seriess ahead of BYU 7 wins to 5 losses. Even if BYU pulls off an upset today, the best they can do is a .500 record against Utah in the MWC years. So by your logic, what does that mean? Does it mean that BYU was in a "negative perfect storm" during 7 of the 12 MWC years? You bring up Utah winning, "every 20 years" or so. Were you asleep during the last 20 years considering the rivalry record over that period of time is tied at 10 wins apiece?

I don't know if it is possible for you to do this, but instead of following up this post with more incohearant rhetoric, please try to exlplain your "ever 20 years" remark or how it takes a "perfect negative storm" for Utah to beat BYU considering that during the last 2 decades, these teams are in a dead heat.

Yet another silly Cougar fan. After BYU stole a game from SDSU (in Provo) no less, it suprises me that BYU fan still feels ok about saying Utah should have lost at SDSU. Memo to BYU fan: Utah went to SDSU and rolled up much more offensive yards than your team was able to muster against them while playing them in Provo. Perhaps you should focus on that instead of still whining a crying a week later about what "should" have happened to Utah. I know you guys are super excited about your last 4 wins, but you have to realize that they mean nothing. Just like they meant nothing for Utah when it came time to face TCU. The Colorado State team you beat by 39 points was beaten worse by Wyoming last week. The Cowboys even managed to shut them out.

Now that the season is basically over, I have no problem as a Ute fan admitting that my team was way overrated. They're obviously not a great team, but I do still think it's fair to classify them as a good team. BYU on the other hand is still a bad team. It simply boils down to the fact that they're the best of the worst that the MWC has to offer.
