Cheat code shooters/scorers are difficult to overrate. This is definitely a worthy conversation.
Yup. Also why they are rarely traded and are 'untouchables' on most teams.

Isiah Thomas got traded twice in two years tho.
He wasn't always THIS good though.
Orlando: Needs offense and has a lot of defense
Portland: Needs defense and has a lot of offense
Teams in different conferences and are both specialized in one side of the court, seems like natural trade partners.
Bottom line is I think POR would need a 'star' back in return. I still think CJ McCollum for Brook Lopez (see what he did yesterday?) is a good trade that benefits both sides.
POR gets on with its 'win now' mode while Lillard is balling and BKN gets a proven young player it can groom.
Yeah and Biyombo and Gordon provide defense that helps them win now.
Do you question Portland's ability to be a top offense sans McCollum? Lopez would be a great addition, especially now that he shoots 3's, but he wouldnt really help their defense that much.
Yeah but don't forget that Al Farouq has been injured and he's a good defensive player. Once they traded away McCollum they should also be get a defensive SG.
