Can The Jazz Fix Wiggins?

Ryan Saunders made mid-range jumpers negative points in practice but he kept chucking those. He is %34 on all jumpers. His athleticism would certainly help and his upside is real but I really don't know if anyone can change him. If there is someone it's Quin though.

Nope nope and nope. Poor shooter. Terrible efficiency. Poor defender. Weak as piss, lazy softcock. Not to mention the contract.
That all may be true, but the guy did average 24 ppg in his 3rd season on good efficiency numbers. He would be a huge asset against the Rockets as he is someone who can punish switches and get on top of the rim in ways no one else on our team can off the attack.

You can't expect a guy to switch up his play style drastically over the course of a season just because a coach got fired.

there's certainly no denying his raw ability. I'd not want to gamble that he can be changed with his contract tho

I think great dribbling and being able to get where one wants on the court is more important than athleticism.

So you want to gamble on signing a bunch of low to mid tier free agents on short term deals?

Or trading for an aging vet like Conley or Dragic?

I would take Conley before Wiggins just because the length of Conleys contract makes him a low risk get for us. If Conley didn't work out we could pivot in a year or two and either trade him or let him walk and take a swing in free agency.

Can't really take a swing in two years in free agency because you will be paying for Rudy and Mitchell's new contracts.

Absolutely not but he has been in the league for 5 years now and he got worse. His %TS dropped, his FT rate and %FT dropped. That's the main reason I said I don't know if anyone can change him. He has been surprisingly good from the corners but his shots has been more and more away from the rim. His shot chart is painful to look at. He has serious bad habits.
