Cavs vs Warriors Game 2

So we should all get in our doomsday bunkers and hide away from the Big Bad Warriors should we??? Please...

Bring it!

I can't wait to see our guys healthy and improved going up against GS. Why ya'll so afraid of strong competition?

So this is based on Hood improving, Exum becoming who I think he is, Favors healthy and Hayward signing on but;

Exum has the length and speed to make it tough for Curry and Rudy has ALWAYS bothered Steph at the rim.
Hood has improved defensively and if he can get his shot down he can challenge Klay.
Hayward can compete against KD and if they both put up 35 its a standoff.
Favors can bully Draymond down low and help on the boards.
Rudy can take away their points in the paint and dominate on pick and roll while grabbing every rebound.

Plus our bench is deeper.

Plus plus, we play a style that takes away one of GS major strengths; playing fast pace and in transition. If you take away those easy baskets you take their momentum and put them out of rhythm. Guess what happens to a jump shooting side out of rhythm...

I think going up against GS in the finals this year and getting a look at them under playoff conditions will do us the world of good.

So enough of the depression session aye. Rest easy, we were built to beat this team.

This is crazy talk. If all you care about is winning it all, then you might as well sell the team and stop watching altogether.

Regardless of how dominant anyone thinks the warriors are, you build the best team you can and let the cards fall where they may. The warriors are going to be facing a tough financial situation soon and you never know when a key player can get injured. If any one of Curry/Jelly Fish/Green goes down, this team becomes beatable.

It's not about winning it all, it's about the hope of winning it all. At least in past years (well not with the Jazz lately but still) there was some small illusion of that.

Like during the Deron/Boozer years I didn't think the Jazz had a great chance of winning it all, but at least I thought they had some. I've never seen a season more predetermined than this one in my life, other than maybe the 96 Bulls season.

Really? There is about the same chance for these Jazz teams as those Jazz teams. The Jazz never got more than 2 games on the Lakers in the D-Will era. The only year they managed to avoid the Lakers they got to the conference finals and lost 4-1 to the Spurs. In both cases you just had to hope the Jazz did well enough in the regular season to get in the easier side of the bracket and then hope whoever they face in the CF is either injured or managed to pull off a big upset on the favorite in a previous round.

D-will years sucked. This team is the first team that I have been excited to watch since S&M.

Yes I know

The difference here is night and day to me. The Spurs were a great team, but they didn't seem invincible. This Warriors team does. The whole season feels pointless.

Just as a fan of basketball I want to see a team get challenged somewhat, by anyone.

Ehh, they seemed pretty invincible to me. I have way more hope with this team as they are actually capable of improvement unlike the Stockton/Malone and Dwill/Boozer teams.

It pains me that Durant joined GSW, forcing me to root against Steph Curry. He's my second or third favorite non-Jazz player to watch. :(

The funny thing is that so far the ratings are trending up for this Championship compared to the last few. The casual NBA fan enjoys elite dominance.

I do like watching one of the best teams in NBA history. I also really like watching Lebron get beat badly. I also expect the rest of the NBA to work hard to make up the ground. The gap wont still this large for too many years in a row.

People are complaining about these playoffs but no one complains about the Bulls Jordan years when they dominated. That is probably the golden years of Basketball and one team/one person dominated that era.

Did the jordan bulls ever sweep every team they faced with a margin of victory like the warriors this playoffs?

Nope, here are the Bulls series records for their 2 three peats. They came close in 1991 and 1996 though. For me what is most impressive about Jordans Bulls is that they were 6-0 in the finals. Despite playing Stockton and Malone x 2, Magic, Kemp and Peyton, Barkley and Drexler.

1991 - 3-0, 4-1, 4-0, 4-1 title
1992 - 3-0, 4-3, 4-2, 4-2 title
1993 - 3-0, 4-0, 4-2, 4-2 title

1996 - 3-0, 4-1, 4-0, 4-2 title
1997 - 3-0, 4-1, 4-1, 4-2 title
1998 - 3-0. 4-1, 4-3, 4-2 Title
