It appears you can now trade picks only 6 years out... not 7... This is a big deal as it removes a lot of potential inventory from the market between just taking that option off the table and the Stepien rule... might remove like 25% or more of the tradeable pick from the market.

I believe it’s teams over the second apron… so my bad… this ain’t all that helpful.
 
I feel like 100s of trade exemptions exist that never get used
For sure… but it’s interesting and it will be used at some point.

The room exception moving from 5.4M to like 7M+ will be helpful this offseason… once we use our space we can still add another rotation piece if we want.
 
Salary matching for trades will be easier as the % you can take back without matching completely will increase. It is currently at 125%.

On the flip side if you are above the second apron you have to match dollar for dollar essentially instead of having the same 125% (will be higher) as other teams.

Dipping into the tax won’t be as painful for teams as the $1.50 per $1 you go over will decrease. The bracket to where the amount increases will be higher as well.
