Central tank command : the official thread

Of course it helps. It means we'll be playing Raul ****ing Neto more.

Neto stays in his lane and makes his open threes though... Rubio is out there doing stuff... a lot of it bad... although he seems to have chilled a bit.

Hold your tongue sir!

The current Utah FO has proven quite adept at landing quality talent in the mid to late first round.

Im not questioning DL at all. Although Trey cough Lyles...but he always comes through after a bust.

I just don't like the selection all that much. Sure we'll probably get a decent player, but someone worth a full season of tanking?
I just don't see it unless we get in the top 3.

This. Snyder needs to lead the tank right off the tracks if he wants that.

I dont want to tank. I just want to trade expiring contracts for the best young player or good draft pick we can get even if it means taking back a contract.

If losing JoeJ and Favors makes us tank, then so be it. However, getting valuable minutes for guys like Mitchell and Bradley is more important than guys likely to walk in the summer.

That is literally the definition of tanking. No teams intentionally lose... that is almost impossible. You just create the situation where losing will happen more often.

Exactly. I see this going down in one of two ways:

#1 - we keep everything intact, lose a majority of our games and say we tried to make the playoffs.

#2 - we make a trade to get an asset for the future, lose a couple more games than option 1, buy sell the idea to fans that you are trying to make the playoffs this year yet go further in the future.

Based off what Favors and JoeJ have provided this year, its not like dumping them really makes us all that worse anyway. Its not like Chicago trading Butler.

SLC Dunk twitter just posted a new item for sale. "TankNote" T shirts lol. $25 hahaha

Although Im Luke warm on a tank right now, I don't see a lot of options.

Trying to add another star or big time player through the draft might be our only chance.

If we get lucky and get another high quality player to go with Rudy, and DMitch then we'll be on track.
