That's the Nazipalooza line - that because Nazi was a contraction of National Socialist, therefore fascist=socialist.

This disregards the actual definition of fascist and the fact that fascism is a type of government and not an economic system.

In the event of civil war I'd expect the military to be split. Also National guard would mostly follow their individual states.

I think a "cold" civil war is much more likely and one could argue that it's already begun.

I'm not worried about open hostilities and fighting.

And we all know, of course, that if someone calls themselves something, it must be true. Hence North Korea is democratic, people's, AND a republic. They wouldn't call themselves any of those if they weren't.
