I feel like Kanter and Gobert both had similar transformations back in the day. Hayward’s wasn’t as fast, but his bulking up was impressive then too.

I wonder why the Jazz chose for him to bulk up and play PF in that defensive - 3point shooting role?

They must have thought it too hard to guide him down the scoring Durant/Tatum type role.

I get it Cody is 6-8 or 9 the thought of him is tantalizing and people fell in love with him after last year‘s summer late because he played well in Vegas for me once shame on you for me twice shame on me I see people falling right back into the same mistake as last year fact is the way he got buckets in summer league will not translate to the NBA He still can’t dribble. He’s still weak as hell even if he got stronger and he’s a turnover waiting to happen. Oh, and he still can’t dribble.

I was really happy with what I saw from Cody. But SL is stupid and doesn't matter so until I see it in real games I will continue to have little to no hope for Cody.

I just remind myself he was picked for what he might become in 3-4 years. Keeping expectations at nothing until a couple years down the track.

Why are you being so miserable?

Cody will most likely not be good, but we are Jazz fans (being a fan is irrational), so just hope that he can be a useful player one day.
