Just looked. He is. I'm ****ing giddy. Sabonis would've been a top 50 player of all-time had he come over earlier. Maybe even top 25.
I guess. That must have been exhibition?
I guess.
It was thier most recent game
What's the point of all these early season tourneys? Just an easier way to schedule games between decent teams? I mean, obviously it's cool to get to play in some of these places....but any game I turn to for a moment is like 1/4 capacity. If that. Nobody goes. Doesn't matter if it's taking place in NYC, Puerto Rico, North Dakota. The empty gym factor has to almost negate any positives.
UK's are full.
The point, though, is negotiating with other top teams to establish a strong SOS. Many times, those teams will only agree on a neutral court unless a home and home series is negotiated over a multi-year deal.
It seems like you get a couple horrible teams in there too. Like BYU's last two teams were somehow loosely considered part of the Maui tourney they'll be at this week even though they were home games. Or in other years BYU will host the "Cougar Classic" and the teams are all complete garbage. And it's not even a tourney. It's just BYU playing multiple teams. Those home games being considered as being more than just single games must be some kind of marketing gimmick. Put a fancy title on the games....and hope it can pull some more people in I guess.
How bout a sticky modstapo?
