College Football *2015*

Such an awesome game. These past two weeks watching BYU has been so much fun. And not only Mangum's heroics. But BYU is blitzing like crazy now on D. Love it. Much better than just sitting back and getting lit up. They still have coverage issues, but pressure helps guys like Kai Nacua look like ball hawks. Man, he looked good last night. NFL caliber safety good. And how about the fact that the tall WRs basically did nothing last night but move bodies out of the way for others to make plays? It was Mitch Juergens and Blackmon making plays. That is such a good sign.

anae's playcalling

Like getting all protectionist for awhile once Tanner threw that pick? It was a good read and everything too, just missed the right spot by a football length or two. It could be considered a good punt basically but we went into run first mode for quite a bit after that.

The thing with Tanner is that he clearly thrives on making it up as he goes. So all Anae has to do is call passes. Whatever the play is supposed to be almost doesn't matter. He'll scramble and then use his ridiculous arm talent. That first TD throw of the game was jaw dropping.

Exactly!

I came on here eager to discuss the game. Hine, Boise's awful QB, anae's playcalling, the junk punch, the refs and their delayed whistles...

But watching Utah fans meltdown at yet another Byu win is just too funny. Utah fans, doing their best to show how "over" the rivalry they truly are. Hilarious how Utah fans comment far more on social media during and after Byu games than their own.

My hell I swear you guys have the most fragile psyche of any football fan base out there. Anybody makes any type of negative comment and you lose your ****. I'm a college football fanatic. Even if I'm fine with my school never facing BYU again (which I am), I still take notice and comment about what's going on in state. If Utah State's next two games involve Hail Mary victories, nut punches, alligator rolls, and exploded ACL's, we're all gonna be in here talking about it. It's just the nature of the beast.

Thriller, if it makes you feel better, I promise I won't discuss BYU in here until next year when it's game week and Utah is prepping for what will be their 5th straight win over the Y and 8 of the last 10.

Lol @ ugli's obsession. Kinda cute, tbh.
BYU is the talk of the country for, you know, the actual game, but PAC12 fans like ugli can't get over a play that involved a dude's balls. Ugli, I imagine they have counseling for that kind of problem.

Talk of the country?

Bahahahahahahahahahahahaha

If you're fine with Utah never playing BYU again then a) you're not a fan of the game b) you're not a real Utah fan. #asshat

If you don't think BYU has or is the talk of the country, you're a moron.

"Has or is"

WUT^

Ya, nobody is talking about Michigan St knocking off Oregon right now. The pulse of college football is centered around 2 mid majors battling it out at 1 am EST.

Archie, you are a Mormon living in Utah. You probz don't know what the country is talking about right now.

Lol, it's totally worth resorting to hashtag name calling.

I am a "real" fan regardless of whether you think I am or not. I just have no desire to play that team anymore. The landscape has changed.

Have a good day.

I do not know any die hard Utah fans that still want to play byu. It's not about "being over the rivalry", everyone I know still hates byu.

It's for two reasons:

Utah has nothing to gain by beating byu because we are expected to and it would be byu's biggest game of the season, or their "Super Bowl" as Kyle Van Noy put it.

byu is a legitamitely dirty team with dozens and dozens of cheap shots over the years to prove it. This is heightened by the rivalry game aspect, and it's just not worth risking our players health.

The rivalry game will continue, but mostly because the big money (old people) donors want to see the game continue, not because the die hard fan base wants it. (I'm sure 99% of casual Utes fans want the rivalry game, but 99% of casual Jazz fans think the Jazz suck right now.)
