Cy is excited because when LSU is good and beats up Miss St, it means Miss St is good. Dumbass.
21-19 loss with the game winning FG nearly going in is a real "beat up". Get real.
LSU is going to be #1 in the country. The running game is too dominant and Brandon Harris is a good QB, it's just going to take a while before Miles actually trust him.
It mostly just shows that Oregon was over-ranked and that the preseason ranking wasnt legit. If I had to guess, I would say Utah is going to take Oregon's place and be 13 or 14.

Good point. Beating weak mid majors shouldn't get you more than a consideration for top 25. If you want to be ranked, you should beat a real team, like...Utah.
Oh well, Michigan had their chance but got beat.
Michigan made a mistake scheduling a P5 opponent first. With a new coach they should have just taken it easy to start. They would destroy Utah if they played them again most likely. Utah got lucky they got them early.
On to non inflammatory talk.
Miss St. vs. A&M will be very interesting next week. Up to this point State has been playing run dominant teams with good defenses and bad/conservative passing games. The tables will be turned vs. A&M and they will play a team that likes to pass it downfield. Last year State was awful vs. the big play in the passing game, but the return of Diaz seems to have improved our coverage on long balls. I think State comes up with a lot of turnovers this game. If they can get their anemic run game going vs. an average run defense, State should be able to pull off the road upset.

Only interesting if you care about irrelevant games. Neither of those team will be a factor nationally by the end of the year. Who cares who wins now?
