I think mangum will be very good. He has an nfl arm in terms of arm strength and is smart...... But with no running game and being a freshman I think it's too much to ask for him to go on the road against a top ten team and get a win.
I don't think the ucla game is the end all of whether or not mangum is good or not. The sample size is too small to determine anything
I wasn't talking about getting a w. Can he get first downs? Will he take care of the ball or force things that aren't there?
What I've seen of him thus far is a dude that's forcing things that are barely there. If he's as good as you guys think he is we should see something shine through. Is it the last word on Mangum; No, but I think it's more relevant than what we've seen so far. I think these are the kinda games you find out who a player is.
On the flip side I don't think Fresno St is going to tell us much about Thompson or if O-line adjustments are working.(see Fresno's last game) As a Ute fan I still will feel fairly blind heading into Oregon.
