What's new

Collin Sexton SZN

Yeah, he tends to score a lot of points when the rest of the team is clicking and getting more defensive attention.
One could also point out that when your 3rd to 4th guard in rotation, that problably isn't among your 7 best players, goes for 20 or more, suddenly it's much more likely that you win.

Sexton is averaging the most assists in his career this season per 36.
5.8 assists per 36. His previous best was 4.3

I do feel like a good Sexton vs bad Sexton is a pretty big game changer for Utah. He's just been incredibly ineffective to bad for most of the season.

With Keyonte presumably out for at least a week, he will get a shot at proving himself as a starter.

As long as KO is also starting, I think it could work. The issue will be if Collins comes back and it's the 3 non playmaking bigs + Sexton.

Will be interesting to see who they start w/ the other guard.

I'm not sure what Sexton worked on this off season. It feels like it was the wrong thing based on the first half of the season, but it's also possible that it's just finally coming together.

To me it seemed very clear that Sexton needed to improve his 3pt rate and learn how to make the right reads out of his drives. He did a great job of those things last night which makes his whole game really work.

Sexton's 3 point rate is at a career high by a significant margin.

I'm guessing he worked on that and being more of a PG, but he been used a lot more off-ball this year than he probably anticipated.
