Collin Sexton traded to Charlotte Hornets for Jusuf Nurkic

There’s probably going to be a number of trades over the next few days. Wonder if this deal will get rolled into something bigger.

I think the thing most people are missing is that getting Nurkic is probably a good indication that they have a plan to move Collins.

This was something I meant to say earlier as well. 2 things, That Collins did get many of his minutes as the backup 5 and there's been rumors about Collins being traded to the LAL.

But I haven't been looking at what the LAL cap looks like along with their Austin Reeves contract situation.

Idk. 10 or so pages in less than an hour and people racing to be the biggest downer indicates they think it’s a big deal. If people didn’t care, it would just be “meh. Not great, but whatever.”

Excellent move that now opens up playing time for our future, I.,e., Sexton and Clayton. I have tremendous respect for Sexton, however he is a shoot first Six foot nothing point guard. We have players in Collier and Clayton that really know how to move the ball. Consumate floor generals in the John Stockton mold. It might not be win now, but it is imperative that Collier take the reins and that Clayton see major minutes and with starters. I couldn’t be happier with this deal - one second is nothing.

As for Nurkic, he’s certainly not that bad (he has Durant to blame for that) but we don’t need to pay 19 mil to a back up center. Buy out for sure, somebody will pick him up imo.

I like Sexton a lot. On a personal level, I hope he gets a really nice next contract.

this is just a move to go young, clear minutes available never mind the cost. Can't see Nurk playing much if at all. Good luck to Collin, loved the guy, and he was asked to waste a couple years of his career tanking and never sulked and kept playing hard. Really hope he gets a big next contract

Finally had a guy who wanted to be here and played his butt off and this is his reward. I get it but wish he'd have been a better fit. I also hope he plays well for the hornets and his next contract is big and with a competitive team.
