Agreed. I don’t want to say anything bad in the off chance someone will give us a 2nd for himNot sure why everyone keeps including Clarkson in these posts- dude’s on/off numbers are not conducive to winning games.

I honestly can’t conceive of a better application of the KOC doctrine than now:On can reasonably conclude the the Jazz FO aren’t complete idiots. They’ve been trying to move Sexton for a while. Thus, it’s reasonable to conclude that this was the market for a player like Sexton on a team like the Jazz where everybody knows they practically have to get rid of Sexton. So, sure, it really isn’t a good deal. It’s also not as bad as people are making it look, and I doubt Utah could have done better or they would have.
They don't have a penetrating guard. Now they doDoesn’t make total sense for Charlotte either. They already have Ball, Miller, KK, God knows who else at the guards spots, while also having just traded their other centers to the Suns.
True.He could put up worse numbers than Sexton while having a more positive impact. Going off the stat sheet Sexton and Collins should be some of the NBA’s best players, and yet…they aren’t.
On the other hand, the post above yours says that Collins and sexton don't have much of a positive impact and this trade proves that other teams think very little of sexton so probably could have kept him and played him a bunch and been just as bad?All I know is that the Jazz can’t have Sexton, Collins and Clarkson on the roster if they want a top pick in 2026.
I honestly don’t care that much HOW they accomplish this, but I’d prefer they add a couple of okay assets in the process.
I don’t think that was my post. I’m surprised they sold low, and I would’ve kept him over trading him (and a pick) for Nurkic. I think the Jazz should be in asset accumulation mode and unless there’s layers to this trade that haven’t shown out yet. . . it’s not a great move. I do think the Jazz NEED to move their three main vet assets - but I want positive value coming back. I’m okay with focusing on the opportunity cost of getting worse in the short term to open up opportunities for the young guys. . . but I’m not 100% sure this move actually does that.On the other hand, the post above yours says that Collins and sexton don't have much of a positive impact and this trade proves that other teams think very little of sexton so probably could have kept him and played him a bunch and been just as bad?
