Aren't jokes supposed to be funny in some way? Without any sort of context, this doesn't qualify as humor, just ugly prejudice.
You can read tho, correct?

I bet you're an absolute joy to be around.
It depends on how much you equate "joy" and "look at that silly person, let's go make fun of them".
Edit to add: what's so joyful about making fun of Mormons?
I make fun of all of my friends for lots of different reasons.
It's ya know, what people do. If all of my friends were continually nice to me, and never made fun of me or gave me **** for something I did, it would be weird as hell. It's why I don't care when PKM or somebody calls me a 'hillbilly redneck'…it's just how guys interact.
My brother in law served a mission in Mexico. One letter home (old days, writing on actually paper) he started going into how he had met this fabulous Mexican girl, wanted to make her happy, and therefore had decided to marry her [turn page] to her fiance. My wife said her dad just about had a heart attack prior to the page turn.
Why? Because she is Mexican? or because she is non-LDS? or because he is too young to marry?
One of my best friends went on a mission to Georgia (the state) and married a Mexican-American girl he schooled (? or preached to or whatever you LDS ppl call it) and they are happily married for over 10 years now and have 2 beautiful children. Whats the deal in his surprise?
Definitely the racist thing.
My group of friends used to do the same thing, but there were also limits, in particulars, using the same words/concepts that historically have been used to justify persecution. Last I checked, people weren't forced to move or threatened with death because they were "a 'hillbilly redneck'".
