Conley hamstringing again

Anyone one fearful that by the time Mike is healthy enough to play Spida will be so broken that it won’t matter?

Must be nice to be the Clippers. They’re not fighting through injuries like this. They just need to focus on their game plan. Sadly, it might not matter for us what the game plan is if Conley is out and Spida is broken.

Reminds me of the George Hill situation

Also Rubio missed games 6 against OKC and then the entire second round against the Rockets with a hamstring injury. It seems the basketball gods just don't want us to have our starting point guard in the second round of the playoffs.

This is a real ****ing problem, y'all.

I don't think there's any indication that this is ever going to fully resolve. So if the Jazz keep him, I'd really hope Mike is reasonable with his demands because if he can't play 5 consecutive games then that makes his usefulness in the playoffs seriously dented.

Would be good to find another (big, point-ish) guard either way since if he is retained he should be mothballed fairly often to keep him healthy or will be injured for even more time. Could've done anything to address roster needs in the last draft but at least we got another unskilled big man whose best outcome is being ready enough to allow the Jazz to dump Favors into cap space.

I think he plays game 5 but I am definitely in the camp of questioning if it makes sense to resign him.
If we lose this series AND Conley doesn’t play a single game in it, we should not resign Conley period. I love his game but this our best chance at winning a chip. We can’t have our star point guard out with this much on the line

I'd pump the brakes on absolutes since the Jazz are ****ed regarding their assets, but I would say if he asks for, say, >$15 million a year then that's probably a pretty easy pass considering it seriously looks like he would not be able to stay healthy through the playoffs and the Jazz are probably even more ****ed regarding their cap situation.

What about the Nets
They were overwhelming favorites to win this year
Now Harden and Irving are out
Their chances are not good anymore

I'm in the mood to vent even if I'm wrong:

Hindsight tells me that had we played Mitchell in game 1 and not rode Mike so hard, they would've been better positioned to allow each other less physical stress, the Jazz could've potentially ended in a sweep resulting in more rest, and they might both be more healthy as well.

Again, I know I'm bull ******** here but it really feels like there are a series of decisions that have created ripple-effects that got us here. Oh, and don't forget Quin refusing to pull the starters in many of the blowouts this year.

For all of the grief that the Clippers catch for load management, they're one of the only healthy teams left.

Here’s the crazy thing, even if we lose game 4, if Conley comes back game 5 healthy I still think we are the favorites to win it all. We can beat the clippers 2 out of 3 at home with Conley.

But we are running out of time and while we MAY beat LA without Mike we ain’t beating the suns without him. Period.
